Light-flow period panties
Light-flow menstrual panties FAQ
The best light-flow period panties on the market are panties that are pretty, reliable, organic, invisible, comfortable and economical. All of these are qualities that every Louloucup period panty has.
By choosing Louloucup, you’re opting for a French brand made in Europe with highly absorbent fabrics, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and non-toxic. No risk of leaks.
All the linings of our menstrual panties, tangas, and shorties are made with Oeko-Tex organic cotton.
With our menstrual underwear packs, you’ll also save a lot of money.
The menstrual underwear is a reusable and sustainable sanitary protection. The complete opposite of tampons and other disposable, polluting plastic pads. The Louloucup light flow underwear is also a beautiful, feminine, and elegant panty you’ll always love to wear.
A so-called light flow is a menstrual flow of less than 30 ml of blood over the entire period. That’s not much. For comparison, a menstrual cup holds about 25 ml.
Do you need to change your period products regularly? Or can you keep the same pad or tampon on for several hours without feeling uncomfortable? Are your losses spaced out or very light? When you wear a menstrual cup, do you notice that it’s barely filled? Then you probably have a light flow. This is also called oligomenorrhea.
The light-flow period panty is of course worn during your period. It’s designed for women and teens whose periods are naturally light. This type of panty can also be worn at the end of your period if you usually have a heavier flow. By then, the bleeding is lighter and more spaced out. A heavy-flow panty is no longer necessary, a light-flow panty is enough.
The light-flow period panty is also very practical for dealing with light spotting between periods. Light-flow period panties are also useful for absorbing discharge and various vaginal secretions.
During ovulation or due to contraception, you may experience heavier discharge. A light-flow panty is then ideal to keep you dry all day long.
If your flow is very light, if you’re at the end of your period and you hardly have any discharge left, you can absolutely wear a light flow underwear for the night. In other cases, light flow underwear isn’t the best choice for a worry-free night. At night, we tend to stay in the same position for a long time, causing blood to accumulate in one spot. Not all period underwear is designed to hold this blood. That’s why heavy flow underwear is often recommended for nighttime use.
Caring for a light flow period panty is similar to caring for a heavy flow period panty.
Rinse it with clean water as soon as you take it off. Then wash it in the machine with your other clothes. A short cycle at 30°C is enough. A longer, hotter cycle would damage the fabric. Air dry the underwear. Avoid the dryer and fabric softeners.
A well-cared-for period panty is one that will stay absorbent for a long time.
