How do you care for your period swimsuit?
Taking care of a menstrual swimsuit is simple: after use, rinse it thoroughly with cold water until the water runs clear. You can then hand wash it or machine wash it at 86°F (30°C) with a mild detergent, avoiding fabric softeners and bleach.
For drying, let it air dry, turning it inside out so the technical side is on the outside. Avoid the dryer and iron, as heat can damage the fibers. Make sure it’s completely dry before storing to prevent bacteria.
Menstrual swimsuit: how long does it stay effective?
Louloucup period swimwear can absorb the equivalent of 3 regular tampons. They’re effective for light to medium flows.
Did you know? The WHO recommends not wearing a wet swimsuit, period or not, for more than 6 hours. Once you’re done swimming, switch to period underwear—it’s always more comfortable!
